I’m not usually one to get too caught up in the concept of karma, but I am always amazed when I put something out there and the universe answers. Case in point: I’ve already met one of my 2013 goals in the first full week of the year…
In the past 6 days, I’ve brought in $1,095 of extra income (I had no idea any of this was going to happen or else I’d have set that bar much, much higher! And none of this includes any rent/utility money from the BF as he’s not moving in until February). Plus, this month is a triple paycheck month at my full-time job…
Excuse me while I run around, dance and scream a bit out of pure excitement.
Of course now I have an absolute mess of work to get through this week but it’s 100% worth it and gives me even more motivation for what the remainder of this year holds. Before I get too ahead of myself, I wanted to post my January goals:
Financial Goals:
- $3,000 to long-term savings
- $1,010 into retirement accounts
- $185 to student loan (last one!)
- Limit variable spending to $500
Household Goals:
- Deep-clean the condo
- Organize/de-clutter to make room for BF
- Begin design for home office and kitchen renos
- Cook 4 dinners/week beginning 1/14
Personal Goals:
- Transition kitties to their new home (sniff, sniff)
- Run 10+ miles each week
- Secure another PT job
Blog Goals:
- Increase to 550
- Increase to 25
- Increase to 200
What are your January goals?

Congrats on the extra income. This is my goal for 2013. To make anything off my blog, I don't care if its 10cents, I just want to join everyone else!!
Haha…I hear that! Good luck this year!
I liked you on Facebook and followed you on twitter and added you to my RSS feed. Good luck, I'm sure you can get there!

I saw that–thank you so much! I appreciate the help–definitely an uphill battle
My financial goals include paying off our loan within the first quarter. When it gets done, we will be zero debt! Other goals include purchasing our second home before the next school year starts and saving for our second car so that we can pay it in cash to avoid two mortgages. I am also looking into launching our new business within the first quarter. I do not have any household goals as there is no repair that should be done in the house but I will paint it anew and change the door knobs when we get this house rented.
