Continuing with the “Lessons Learned” that shall hereby be dubbed “Random Thoughts.” 

There’s nothing like having your first real Christmas tree in your first home.  I am over the moon with this weekend’s purchase of my first live tree.  The smell alone is pure bliss, let alone decorating it with a very special person.     ‘Tis the season!

Trying to limit my spending during the holidays is like trying to relax on a hot, humid day sans A/C.  It’s shameful, but I’ve already gone over my miscellaneous spending for the month.  While the extra money can still be fit into the budget, it has again de-railed my monthly savings goal.  I’ll be cutting back this week & next in hopes of squeezing in a bit of spending over Christmas and New Years.  However, this blogger certainly knows what her largest resolution for 2011 will be!!
