This month will be an extra special one for me as I’ll be rolling out Operation Giving Back. I’ll highlight this new challenge in my next post, but I will most likely be tweaking the numbers as the month goes on in order to accomplish this new goal. It’s also a three-paycheck month at one of my jobs, so I’ll once again be throwing more $$ to the mortgage. These are some lofty goals, but I’m motivated and dedicated to making it work!
Financial Goals:
- $1,000 extra to mortgage
- $800 into retirement accounts
- $500 into savings
- Spend $225 or less on Christmas gifts!
- $100 extra to student loans
- Limit variable spending to$500
- Complete Operation Giving Back
Household Goals:
- Host a holiday party
- Decorate a real tree (and pray my kitties don’t destroy it!)
Personal Goals:
- Bike to/from work, weather permitting
- Run 3x/week or more
- Enjoy every bit of the holiday season
What are your December goals?
Great goals! My goals are to finish law school applications and figure out Christmas gifts. Financial goals would be to put more money in my down payment house fund!
These are great goals!I've been trying to fix your feed to my blog and it's not working. Any suggestions?+
@Shopping–Thanks; your goals sound great, too! Good luck with the apps..how exciting!@Sharon–Thanks! I have no idea what's going on with the feed. I trashed it completely and re-built it and it seems to be working for me. Sorry it's such a pain in the arse!
Those are good goals! mine include limiting gifts to $500, getting a tree, hosting a holiday party, and just making it to the end of the month when my husband will finally start working!
@Newlweds–Nice goals! The end of the month is going to be very exciting in your neck of the woods—enjoy!
