Weekend Miscellaneous: 12/9/12

This past week, as many recently have, flew by! For those of you counting, there are only 15 days until Christmas. If you’re also like me and still have yet to begin your shopping, check out my list of 120 gifts that can be bought for $20 or less.

Weekly Miscellaneous:

Weekly Update Highlights from this past week include Saturday’s Santa Speedo Run. For anyone living outside of the Boston area, this is an annual run where ~700 of us don our swimsuits for a 1-mile charity run through the streets of Boston–in December (yep, right down Boylston and Newbury Streets…ahh!). Imagine a bunch of crazy runners decked out in red & green swimsuits cheering their way through the Back Bay as they (most drunkenly) wind their way through the course. This was my first year partaking in the festivities and I will certainly be back for more next year!

Other than that, my updates are pretty standard. I somehow managed to keep under my $500 miscellaneous spending goal for November, and I’m working hard to keep that in check this month as well. While there have been some necessary car repairs for my old car (still waiting for the new Bimmer to arrive in the states), it hasn’t been anything too crazy–just some tail lights, wiper blades and an oil change. All in all, this month is on track to be another great one!

Meal Plan:

  • Sunday: Dinner w/ my BF’s parents (home-cooked and oh so good)
  • Monday: Dinner out (finally starting the Christmas shopping!)
  • Tuesday: Dinner out (shopping bonanza part deux)
  • Wednesday: Italian Feast Night
  • Thursday: Homemade pizza (pesto, asparagus, onion, goat cheese)
  • Friday: Company holiday party
  • Saturday: Christmas parties

Favorite Pins of the Week:

Have a great week, everyone!

    • Same here! I absolutely fell in love with it. I don't need anything in the shopping department other than a new dress for the holiday party this week, but I'm seriously tempted to go find something like this. Hello, willpower!

  1. Ooohhhhh, I'm drooling over the outfit in your second pin! I don't wear anything with a heel, but that is CUTE! Love the top and the bag and the jeans. Okay, gotta stop!

    • HAHAHAHAHA…wow, thanks for such a good laugh! The funniest part of the day was that the line for the men's room was far longer than the women's–first and only time for that!
