With Father’s Day right around the corner, you may be considering what to get dad for a gift. If you’re tight on funds but want to get him something that he’ll appreciate and remember, a great option would be to buy him something that’s personalized. This is something that I’ve done for my dad in the past and I know he’s always appreciated the heart-felt gifts over something that just anyone can buy/give.

My dad is always outside tinkering in the yard and grilling up awesome meals all summer long. A few years ago, my siblings and I chipped in to buy him a personalized set of grill accessories and he absolutely loved it! He still uses them nearly daily now, even after all this time.
Personalized Signs
My dad loves his spaces in the basement (hardware and power tool storage) and the garage (yard tools and car products). Last summer, I bought a bunch of fun, rustic signs I found at a garage sale and they were a huge hit. My sister took this idea one step further and bought my dad a personalized sign that welcomed visitors to my dad’s garage. It’s a pretty funny sign that new visitors still remark about to this day!

About ten years ago, we bought my dad a watch at Macy’s and had it engraved with a personal message on the back. Despite it not being the best watch (us kids were all young and struggling!), he still wears it with pride.
Luggage
While not the sexiest gift, new luggage is usually always appreciated in my family. I once bought my dad a new suitcase, and I paid extra to have it monogrammed with his initials. Not only does it help distinguish his from my mom’s (they’re both black), but it’s super helpful for identifying his bags at the airport.

Beer Steins
If your dad is a beer drinker like mine, there’s no doubt he’d appreciate a new set of beer steins. Have them engraved with a special message or memory and they’re bound to be used for many years. My dad’s favorite stein is one that I hand-painted for him in high school but he also really likes the stainless steel ones we got him two years ago.
