October Re-Cap

October was a great month! Not only did I somehow manage to stay under my $500 miscellaneous budget, but I stayed on budget for my trip to Greece, fit in an extra $130 to pay for my car being towed on street cleaning day (BOOOO…I don’t even drive, yet my car still costs me money…ha!), stash extra in my retirement account, and fit in a mini shopping day (for legitimate needs–especially the ice cream…mwhaha).  All in all, a success!

Financial Goals: 

  1. $500 into savings   CHECK!
  2. $1,300 extra to mortgage   CHECK!
  3. $650 into retirement accounts   CHECK–added $725!
  4. $100 extra to student loans  CHECK!
  5. Limit variable spending to $500  CHECK!  Spent $436.85
  6. Bring in an extra $200+  CHECK!  Brought in $303.93

Household Goals:

  1. Complete demo & removal of concrete walkway in yard  3/4 done…
  2. Touch-up paint on moldings, windowsills, and trim  CHECK!
  3. Re-calk & grout 2nd bathroom bathtub Fail–Completing this week, though

Personal Goals:

  1. Bike to/from work–21 miles/day   CHECK!
  2. Start up P90X Fail–replaced w/ pilates
  3. Run 5 times or more each week (marathon training time!)  Fail

  1. Awesome on the financial. Awesome on the Household and biking is already more than enough so Awesome on the Personal.Boo to the car costing you money. That's probably the universe trying to get back at you for not buying gas lol but don't ever stray. Keep biking. It's Awesome.
