December Re-Cap

What a month! I’m pleased to say that I brought in about $900 extra this month (including $$ given to me for Christmas), so I met all of my financial goals. Exercising fell to the wayside a bit due to weather and scheduling conflicts but overall, a stellar month!

Financial Goals:  

  1. $1,000 extra to mortgage  CHECK–sent $1,200 extra
  2. $800 into retirement accounts  CHECK–tucked away $1,000
  3. $500 into savings  CHECK!
  4. Spend $225 or less on Christmas gifts!  CHECK–spent $192.95 total
  5. $100 extra to student loans CHECK!
  6. Limit variable spending to $500  CHECK!
  7. Complete Operation Giving Back  CHECK–stay tuned for next week’s update

Household Goals:

  1. Host a holiday party   CHECK!
  2. Decorate a real tree (and pray my kitties don’t destroy it!)   CHECK!

Personal Goals:

  1. Bike to/from work, weather permitting  Biked most days
  2. Run 3x/week or more   Fail
  3. Enjoy every bit of the holiday season   Super CHECK!  :)

PS–I can’t believe how close I am to having a $100K net worth!!!!!!!!  Ahhhhh…..$200 to go!
